Warranty & care

Ten years, in writing

Bellfort warrants its window film for up to 10 years from installation. Here is exactly what that covers, what it does not, and how to keep the film in warranty condition.

Covered

Solar performance

The film maintains its solar reflective properties without cracking, crazing or peeling for the warranty term.

Covered

Adhesion

The film maintains adhesion without blistering, bubbling or delaminating from the glass.

Covered

Appearance

The film maintains its appearance without discolouration — no purpling, no fade to bronze.

Window care

Keeping the film in warranty condition

The first week matters more than the next ten years. Follow the sequence below and the film will outlast the warranty period.

01

Wait to open

Leave windows up for three to five days while the mounting adhesive cures.

02

Expect some haze

Slight haze or small water pockets during curing are normal and clear on their own.

03

Clean gently

Soft cloth or synthetic sponge, plus a non-ammonia cleaner. Never a scraper or abrasive pad.

04

Keep the record

Store the installation record — date, series and glass positions. Claims are assessed against it.

Avoid ammonia-based cleaners

Ammonia attacks the film's top coat and adhesive layer. Most blue household glass cleaners contain it. Damage caused by ammonia-based products is not covered by the warranty.

Warranty questions

The terms, in plain language

Bellfort window film is warranted to maintain its solar reflective properties without cracking, crazing or peeling; to maintain adhesion without blistering, bubbling or delaminating from the glass; and to maintain appearance without discolouration.
Up to 10 years from the date of installation, provided the film is maintained in accordance with the Window Care Instructions.
Damage from causes outside the film itself — glass breakage, accident damage, deliberate scratching, abrasive cleaning, ammonia-based cleaners, or film applied by an installer outside the authorised Bellfort network.
Contact the installer who fitted the film, with your installation record and photographs of the affected glass. If they are no longer trading, email info@bellfort.co and we will route the claim to the regional distributor.
Keep the installation record your installer provides — it carries the date, the series fitted and the glass positions. That document is what a claim is assessed against, so store it with your vehicle or building records.

This page summarises the Bellfort warranty for reference. The written warranty document issued with your installation is the governing document in any claim.
