Ten years, in writing
Bellfort warrants its window film for up to 10 years from installation. Here is exactly what that covers, what it does not, and how to keep the film in warranty condition.
Solar performance
The film maintains its solar reflective properties without cracking, crazing or peeling for the warranty term.
Adhesion
The film maintains adhesion without blistering, bubbling or delaminating from the glass.
Appearance
The film maintains its appearance without discolouration — no purpling, no fade to bronze.
Keeping the film in warranty condition
The first week matters more than the next ten years. Follow the sequence below and the film will outlast the warranty period.
Wait to open
Leave windows up for three to five days while the mounting adhesive cures.
Expect some haze
Slight haze or small water pockets during curing are normal and clear on their own.
Clean gently
Soft cloth or synthetic sponge, plus a non-ammonia cleaner. Never a scraper or abrasive pad.
Keep the record
Store the installation record — date, series and glass positions. Claims are assessed against it.
Avoid ammonia-based cleaners
Ammonia attacks the film's top coat and adhesive layer. Most blue household glass cleaners contain it. Damage caused by ammonia-based products is not covered by the warranty.
The terms, in plain language
This page summarises the Bellfort warranty for reference. The written warranty document issued with your installation is the governing document in any claim.
Talk to us about a warranty claim
Start with the installer who fitted the film. If that is not possible, email us with your installation record and photographs and we will route it to the regional distributor.
